The Pre-Sale Tea: Trying a New Business Model
You know what?! After all the self-help books and business books and guided meditations and yoga classes and… and… and... and... We realize that the best thing we can do for ourselves is to trust our own inner Wisdom, our intuition. We launched our first pre-sale product yesterday, The Off The Shoulder Joint & we are pretty excited about it! We’ve been sitting on this idea to use this model for years but always second guessed it. Every time we sit down and think about the pros & cons of why using a limited edition, presale model can be advantageous...
Meet Elizabeth Catlett.
MEET ELIZABETH CATLETT (1915-2012). A graphic artist & sculptor from Washington DC + Howard University Alumnus. For 70 years she was outchea doing #worthywork, creating pieces that celebrate the heroic strength & endurance of Black & Mexican working-class women. Her work was unapologetic in advancing the causes of her people, seeking justice beyond art and into protest. Use What You Got
This photo is simply us using what we got. No fancy equipment. Just noontime sunlight, a camera, a large white foam board from Staples, and my grandma's kitchen step stool :) Sure we enjoy the chance to create in a professional studio, but there is something organically special about using the tools you have, already, right now. Freedom in real time.
See Yourself
I dunno, y'all. Life is funny. And when you're in tune with your passion and purpose, things fall into place. Entrepreneurship is not easy. AGAIN, ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS NOT EASY. But it's Worth it. All the years of sacrifice... Of cloudy thoughts... Of persistence... Of uprooting... Of trial & error... Of scraping the concrete pavement... Of laughs and new discoveries... Just for a moment to see yourself.
Dearly Beloved
Prince was on to something when he said "we are gathered here today for this thing called life." It makes us beg the question of how we want to live and navigate our moments here on Earth? What legacy will we leave? How will we take up space? Dearly Beloved is our blog-u-mentary meant to document the journey of Worthy Beings as we Mastermind the world we (in)vision. Our triumphs. Our challenges. Our musings. And everything in between. Tune in. Turn on. See yourself. ~WB~ *photography by Arion Doerr
